After Wandering Through Regents Park on Sunday, I got a little peckish and wanted a change of scenery so I headed into Old Spitalfields Market. I love this market, its always busy without being too crowded. If I need to buy any birthday presents its one of the first places I go, lots of little trinkets and thingy-ma-bobs.
The sights and sounds are gifts for the senses so I couldn’t resist whipping the camera out to capture some of the character of the place.
I’ve always liked the idea of a flower crown, not sure I pull them off though, what do you reckon?
Spitalfields is also the home of my favourite trinket shop. Inspitalfields is a treasure trove.
All this browsing is enough to work up an appetite! This market also has the most scrumptious selection of food.
My recommendation however is a unimposing little stall called Micha. They sell wraps and burritos and salads and it is incredible and even better, great value for money!
I got myself a chicken fajita wrap and I did not regret it, this bad boy was delicious.
So many people think Camden when they hear the phrase “London Market” but I think this is a real shame. Yes Camden is great but its always ridiculously busy, so much so that I’m never really able to enjoy the time I spend there. Spitalfields on the other hand lets you wander around at your own place without being hassled or rushed. If you haven’t been yet, you should definitely take the time to check it out.
