An Evening in Covent Garden

Covent Garden is one of my favourite parts of London. I love the hectic bustling, I love the street performers and musicians, the market stalls and the bars.

I had some time to kill before meeting my friend so I went for a stroll around in the early evening. Rachel Tries Life ¦ An Evening in Covent Garden Rachel Tries Life ¦ Apple and Cinnamon Crumble Muffins Rachel Tries Life ¦ An Evening in Covent Garden DSC_4048 Rachel Tries Life ¦ An Evening in Covent Garden DSC_4051 DSC_4053 DSC_4061 DSC_4066  Rachel Tries Life ¦ An Evening in Covent Garden

Every time I come to Covent Garden I always walk past the giant paella thinking how good it smells but never actually try it. I will one day!

My pal arrived and we headed to the Top Secret Comedy Club at their new venue on Drury Lane. Every Saturday they have an early and late show which are only £5 and £10 respectively. Originally we were only booked to stay for the early show but then we found out Rich Hall was going to be the headline act of the evening so decided to stick around.

We watched 5 very different comedians for £15, now that is what I call a bargain. I was particularly impressed with Ola The Comedian. His non nonchalant attitude and perfect comedian timing was pure comedy genius and I’ll definitely be following him in future.

I certainly don’t think my photos have done Covent Garden justice on this occasion (I told you I still need lots of practice) but please take my word for it, its a fantastic part of London.

I used to work as an usher at the theatre and was lucky enough to see Rich Hall a few times – this looks like an amazing evening!

It was great! Will definitely be going back to Top Secret Comedy. That is lucky, can’t be a bad perk to the job!

I loved the comedy club and its ridiculously good value for money too. Nothing better than climbing down into a dark room, getting in a jug of cider and having people make you laugh!
